KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) – The City of Keene has announced that Bryan Ruoff will take over as the new City Engineer Sept. 16.

Ruoff, who brings nearly 20 years of experience in various engineering fields, will be responsible for overseeing public infrastructure projects in his new role.

Ruoff’s career has spanned multiple disciplines, including road rehabilitation, civil design, water and wastewater treatment, and flood mitigation. His past roles include project management and technical leadership, working in both public and private sectors. These experiences have made him well-equipped to handle the complex challenges of managing city infrastructure.

As City Engineer, Ruoff will manage the city’s Engineering Division, which provides technical support for city departments and oversees contractor work on public projects. He will lead efforts in planning, designing, and constructing key infrastructure projects that impact daily life in Keene, such as road improvements and water systems.

Ruoff holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s in Fire Protection Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
