KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) A squirrel caused a power outage at Keene State College on Wednesday, disrupting the campus for nearly an hour. The outage began around 11:30 a.m., impacting all buildings, and power was restored by 12:15 p.m., according to Eversource spokesperson Priscilla Ress.
The issue originated from damage to electrical equipment managed by the college. Eversource, which supplies power to the campus, waited until campus officials completed repairs and confirmed the system was safe before resuming electricity flow.
The outage caused no further issues, according to Colin Burdick, the college’s assistant director for facilities services.
