KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) The Community Kitchen in Keene is ramping up its efforts to support residents in need this holiday season.
Today, the nonprofit is hosting its annual Thanksgiving pantry distribution from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., offering food assistance to local households. Registration, which includes income and residency verification, can be completed onsite.
The holiday support doesn’t end there. On Saturday, the Fenton Family Food Drive will return to local grocery stores, including Hannaford, Market Basket, and Monadnock Food Co-op. Volunteers will collect donations from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., ensuring the kitchen is well-stocked to continue its mission of providing food security to the Monadnock region.
The Community Kitchen’s new executive director, Barb Weisman, detailed the kitchen’s impact on WKBK Radio speaking with host Dan Mitchell. She shared the Kitchen serves 35,000 meals annually through its hot meal program and an additional 350,000 to 400,000 meal equivalents via pantry services.
Registration for Thanksgiving pantry distribution, which includes income and residency verification, can be completed onsite.
