MONADNOCK REGION, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) Artists and creative entrepreneurs across the Monadnock region have just over a month left to apply for this year’s Arts Alive mini-grants, which offer up to $250 in funding to help bring local creative projects to life. Applications will close on Friday, November 21, and can be submitted online at monadnockartsalive.org/mini-grants.
The grants, open since early October, are designed to support artists, performers, and small creative businesses seeking to advance their work or expand access to arts experiences in the community. The program encourages applicants to propose uses that will make a tangible difference in their artistic development—from project supplies and studio rentals to travel costs, workshops, or marketing materials.
Applications are straightforward, requiring only short answers and check-box responses about the applicant’s project, progress, and the potential community impact. Proposals will be reviewed by a jury of local arts leaders in early December, with awards distributed shortly thereafter. Recipients must use their funds by September 2026 and document how the grant contributed to their goals.
Arts Alive, a Keene-based nonprofit dedicated to sustaining and expanding access to the arts in the Monadnock Region, created the mini-grant program to make direct investments in individual artists and their creative capacity. The organization views the arts as vital to the region’s economic and social well-being.
A total of $4,500 in funding is available this year, supported by donations from NH Gives Day 2025 and the Eppes-Jefferson Foundation.
