Friday, March 6

Ballroom Dancing Social

The Keene Family YMCA will host a ballroom dancing social Friday evening welcoming dancers of all skill levels. No partner is required, and light refreshments will be available. Admission is free for YMCA family members, $20 for members and $30 for guests, covering up to two people.

When: 6:30–8:45 p.m.

Awaiting Abigail With Sepsiss And Under The Horizon

Hard rock and metal band Awaiting Abigail will perform Friday night at The Stone Church. The band blends heavy guitar work, melodic vocals and layered soundscapes. Formed in 2024, the group features longtime collaborators and vocalist Abigail Hill, whose powerful stage presence helped define the band’s sound.

Kalos With Dan Houghton And Rachel Clemente

Celtic roots trio Kalos will perform at Next Stage Arts in Putney, VT. Known for blending traditional Celtic, Breton and American folk influences, the group features Eric McDonald, Ryan McKasson and Jeremiah McLane. Opening the show are Scottish harpist Rachel Clemente and piper Dan Houghton.

When: 7:30–10 p.m.

Tom Rush With Brendan Cleary

Legendary folk musician Tom Rush will perform at The Park Theatre in Jaffrey as part of the Peterborough Folk Music Society’s 30th season. Rush played a key role in the 1960s folk revival and helped introduce artists such as Joni Mitchell, James Taylor and Jackson Browne to wider audiences.

Veronica Lewis

Apple Hill String Quartet

The Apple Hill String Quartet will perform Sunday afternoon at The Colonial Theatre in Keene. The concert features works by women composers across three centuries, including Maddalena Lombardi Syrmen, Emilie Mayer and Grażyna Bacewicz, along with music by Arvo Pärt, Philip Glass and New Hampshire composer Amy Beach. A reception with light refreshments will follow the performance.

]U.S. Navy Band Sea Chanters
