KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow.com) Cheshire County Toys for Tots is urgently seeking a warehouse space to help distribute holiday gifts to approximately 5,000 children throughout the county this season.

The local organization is looking for a building of approximately 40,000 square feet that could be donated for temporary use. The space would be needed as soon as possible and through the first week of January to accommodate the program’s seasonal toy distribution efforts.

Scott Fifield, Cheshire County’s Toys for Tots coordinator, said in a social media post the organization is in dire need of a suitable facility and is asking property owners, businesses and community members to help spread the word.

The warehouse would provide the necessary space to organize, store and distribute thousands of toys for children and families across Cheshire County.

Last year, the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program assisted more than 5,000 children in Cheshire County, underscoring the scale of the organization’s annual holiday effort.

Anyone who owns or knows of a building that might be available for temporary use is asked to contact Cheshire County Toys for Tots at keene.nh@toysfortots.org.

Community members are also encouraged to share the request with local businesses, property owners and others who may be able to help secure a facility.

With thousands of children depending on the program, finding a suitable warehouse is an important step in making this year’s holiday toy distribution possible.
