CHESTERFIELD, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) After spending two decades as principal of Chesterfield Central School, veteran educator Sharyn D’Eon has stepped into a new leadership role with School Administrative Unit 29.

D’Eon was appointed assistant superintendent effective July 27, Superintendent Robert Malay announced. She succeeds Brian Campbell, who resigned at the end of the 2025-26 school year.

The promotion marks another milestone in a career that has spanned 35 years within SAU 29. D’Eon joined the district in 1991 as a classroom teacher at Franklin Elementary School in Keene. She became assistant principal at Chesterfield Central School in 2002 before being named principal four years later, a position she held for the past 20 years.

In her new role, D’Eon will serve on the SAU 29 central office leadership team, working with Malay and Assistant Superintendent Dr. Benjamin White to provide educational leadership, administrative direction and support for schools throughout the district.

D’Eon holds a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Keene State College and earned a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies from Plymouth State University in 2006.

SAU 29 has not yet announced who will take over as principal of Chesterfield Central School.

The district also recently expanded its central office leadership team by hiring Anne Elser as director of student services. Elser began the position July 1 after serving as the Bedford School District’s out-of-district coordinator.
