KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) Keene residents who still need to register to vote in the Nov. 3 state general election have until Thursday, Oct. 22, to complete the process at the City Clerk’s Office or during an evening session at City Hall.
The deadline applies to registration through the city’s regular process, but residents who miss Thursday’s opportunities can still register at the polls on Election Day, according to the City’s website.
The Keene Supervisors of the Checklist will meet Thursday from 7 to 7:30 p.m. at City Hall to accept registrations before the cutoff. The City Clerk’s Office, at 3 Washington St., is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays, except Thursdays, when it closes from 11:30 a.m. to noon.
Those registering must provide documentation establishing their identity, age, U.S. citizenship and domicile. Under state law changes, applicants can no longer use an affidavit in place of proof of their qualifications. Accepted documents vary depending on the requirement and an applicant’s circumstances.
Residents with questions about registration or required documents can contact the City Clerk’s Office at 603-352-0133, extension 2, or visit KeeneNH.gov.
On Nov. 3, Keene polling places will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the following locations:

Ward 3: Keene Middle School, 167 Maple Ave.
