The closure marks the start of a broader project scheduled to continue through Friday, May 1, with daily operations during the same hours. City officials said traffic will be redirected through nearby neighborhoods, with a specific detour route in place on Monday followed by a modified route for the remainder of the week.
Officials emphasized that the harvest is part of a necessary forest management effort and that safety remains the top priority. Drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians are urged to use caution, follow posted signage, and plan for extra travel time.
Residents in the area should also expect an increase in truck traffic during work hours.
Additional updates and information are available on the City of Keene’s website or by contacting the Parks and Recreation Department.
