KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow.com) From high-energy workouts and strength training to Pilates, barre and restorative yoga, Soleil Studio in Keene offers a diverse range of movement classes designed to support people at every stage of their fitness and wellness journeys.
Owned by Casey Yardley, a Keene native with a background in the beauty industry and a longtime passion for yoga, Soleil Studio takes an inclusive approach to fitness, welcoming beginners while providing experienced participants with opportunities to challenge themselves. The studio recognizes that everyone has different goals, abilities and preferences, and that there is no single definition of progress.

Yardley returned to the area in 2019 after spending time in California, where she developed a passion for hot power yoga. After establishing herself as a salon owner, she pursued yoga teacher training and began teaching at Everglow Wellness in Keene. She eventually introduced yoga classes at her own salon, but as interest grew, she recognized the need for a dedicated space where she could expand her offerings. Soleil Studio developed from that vision, bringing a variety of movement and wellness practices together under one roof.
Today, the studio organizes its approach around three guiding principles: Energize, Regulate and Restore. Rather than separating every class into a rigid category, the framework reflects the belief that a balanced fitness routine should incorporate strength, cardiovascular conditioning, intentional movement and recovery.
The goal is to encourage participants to explore different styles of movement throughout the week, creating a routine that supports both physical and mental well-being.
Energize classes are designed to challenge the body, build strength and improve cardiovascular endurance. Soleil Ritual is a high-energy workout that mirrors the natural ups and downs of life, alternating between strength, cardio and recovery circuits set to loud, upbeat music. Soleil Sweat combines high-intensity interval training with strength-based circuits for a challenging full-body workout.
Soleil Sculpt blends the intensity of HIIT with controlled Pilates movements, offering 45 minutes of continuous activity focused on muscular endurance and stamina. Pilates x Strength incorporates Pilates principles with functional fitness and heavier weights to build muscle and strength. Yoga Sculpt combines an upbeat yoga flow with light weights, challenging participants’ strength, endurance and flexibility.
Regulate emphasizes intentional movement, stability, alignment and body awareness. Soleil Pilates focuses on core strength, controlled movement and stability to help participants improve posture, balance and functional strength. Soleil Barre combines elements of ballet conditioning, Pilates and strength training through small, precise movements that challenge muscular endurance and coordination.
The studio’s Pilates Reformer-inspired class uses mat-based exercises, props and resistance to recreate elements of traditional reformer Pilates. These practices encourage participants to develop greater body awareness while building strength and control.
Restore recognizes that recovery, flexibility and mobility are essential to maintaining a sustainable fitness routine. Soleil offers several yoga practices, including Power Flow, a dynamic, breath-connected class that builds strength and flexibility. Slow Flow + Restore combines gentle movement, deeper stretching and restorative postures, while Soleil Reset gives participants an opportunity to slow down, release tension and reconnect with their bodies through mindful movement and longer-held stretches.
Although individual classes may emphasize one particular principle, many incorporate elements of all three. Soleil encourages participants to balance challenging workouts with controlled movement and intentional recovery, recognizing that the body’s needs can change from day to day.
The studio is also expanding its programming with Soleil Mamas, a prenatal and postpartum Pilates class designed to support expecting mothers and those recovering after childbirth. The class emphasizes core strength, pelvic floor coordination, mobility and functional movement. Mothers may also bring babies who have not yet started crawling.
At the heart of Soleil’s philosophy is the belief that while not every class is for everybody, there is a class for every body. Instructors bring different backgrounds and teaching styles to their classes, allowing participants to find the approaches that work best for them. Students are encouraged to listen to their bodies, embrace modifications and recognize that progress looks different for everyone.
Beyond its regular class schedule, Soleil offers workshops, wellness challenges, educational opportunities and retreats that bring together movement, relaxation and social connection. A Pilates and wellness retreat is planned for July 2027 on the Greek island of Kea, with activities expected to include Pilates, yoga, meditation, local exploration, swimming and time to unwind.
Soleil offers several options for those interested in participating. Its unlimited membership is $135 per month and includes unlimited in-person classes, virtual offerings and access to an on-demand library. A virtual membership is available for $35 per month or $240 annually.
Individual classes are $20, with five-class and 10-class packages available for $90 and $180, respectively. New students can attend their first regularly scheduled class free of charge.
The studio also offers $5 Friday, featuring a different class each Friday at 5:30 p.m. for $5. The program provides an affordable opportunity for newcomers to try a class, meet an instructor or bring a friend.
Soleil is part of The Collective | Beauty + Wellness, a group of complementary businesses offering fitness and personal-care services in the Keene area.
Neighboring businesses include The Loft Salon, which specializes in customized hair services, lived-in color and dimensional blonding, as well as full-body airbrush spray tanning. Wink Lash & Brow Studio, owned by Chelsea Raymond, offers lash extensions, lash lifts and tints, brow treatments, facial waxing and facials.
Each business maintains its own identity while giving customers convenient access to a variety of beauty and wellness services.
Looking ahead, Soleil is exploring the addition of infrared heating to expand its programming to include heated yoga, sculpt, barre and Pilates. The proposed addition would provide more options while allowing the studio to maintain non-heated classes for those who prefer a traditional studio environment.
In November, Soleil will host Giving Thanks, a two-day community appreciation event featuring free fitness and yoga classes. The event is designed to welcome both current members and people who have not yet experienced the studio, providing an opportunity to try different classes, meet instructors and connect with others in the community.
The Giving Thanks schedule is already available, and participants can view the offerings and book classes online through the studio’s website. Planned classes include HIIT, sculpt, Pilates, barre, Power Flow and restorative yoga.
In addition to the complimentary classes, guests will be able to enjoy snacks and refreshments between sessions while mingling with other participants. A permanent jewelry booth will also be part of the event, adding another experience for attendees.
Participants will receive a raffle entry for each class they attend. Planned prizes include a month of unlimited membership, Soleil merchandise credit, admission to a special event, a wellness bundle, a $100 gift card and a wellness basket. Advance registration is encouraged, as class space is limited.
