RICHMOND, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) A 64-year-old woman who was reported missing earlier this week was found safe Thursday afternoon following an extensive, multi-agency search effort in the woods near her home.
Authorities said Sheri Reynolds was last seen at her residence on the morning of April 15. A family member later reported her missing that evening after noticing she had been gone since earlier in the day, prompting a response from New Hampshire State Police, according to a news release from the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department.
An initial search began that night in the area surrounding Reynolds’ home. The effort expanded the following morning when conservation officers with Fish and Game joined the operation, launching a coordinated search involving numerous local and regional agencies.
Dozens of responders took part, including law enforcement, fire departments, emergency medical services, and specialized search teams from both New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Crews deployed K-9 units, drones, and all-terrain vehicles to cover the rugged terrain.
Reynolds was located at approximately 1:50 p.m. Wednesday by a search team made up of members of the Upper Valley Wilderness Response Team and Fish and Game officers. She was found in a wooded area a short distance from her residence.
Officials said she did not appear to be injured but was taken by ambulance to a local hospital as a precaution.
The search drew support from a wide network of agencies, highlighting the scale of the response and coordination involved in locating the missing woman.
