Halloween Safety Reminders
Police departments and public safety officials encourage families to take precautions while trick-or-treating. Children should carry flashlights or glow sticks, wear reflective materials when possible, use sidewalks and crosswalks, and remain alert around vehicles. Younger children should be accompanied by an adult.
Drivers should slow down in residential neighborhoods, watch for children crossing streets and use extra caution around parked vehicles and driveways.
For the most current information, check your town’s website, recreation department or police department’s social media pages. Schedules and special events may change as Halloween approaches.
