Keene barbecue restaurant to mobilize relief efforts for Hurricane Helene victims

Keene’s City Express bus to offer free rides on Fridays this month

Keene residents can ride the City Express bus for free every Friday in October as part of New Hampshire’s Community Transportation Month. The “Free Ride Fridays” initiative aims to boost awareness of public transit as a viable alternative to personal vehicle use. The City Express, which operates Monday through Friday, serves 24 locations, including downtown, shopping centers, and medical facilities. Additionally, the Friendly Bus, a door-to-door service for older adults and individuals with disabilities, will also offer free Friday rides. Both services are operated by Home Healthcare, Hospice, and Community Services (HCS).
