The Scores Running Club is in the midst of hosting a weekly fun run to fund scholarships for area high school students intending to continue their running at the collegiate level.

As the 2024 regular season comes to a close, the Keene SwampBats are gearing up for a best-of-three first-round series against the Sanford Mainers in the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) playoffs.

The SwampBats hit two grand slams and got their longest start of the season from a pitcher as they drubbed the Sanford Mainers 15-4 on Tuesday night at home in front of a huge crowd.

The Keene SwampBats struggled defensively in both games against the league-best Mountaineers, losing 6-5 and 15-2. 

The SwampBats earned a playoff berth with a 5-4 win over the Upper Valley Nighthawks. 2025 fans watched on as the game ended on a play at the plate.

The Keene SwampBats scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch in a 5-4 victory at the Valley Blue Sox on Wednesday.

The Martha’s Vineyard Sharks swept the SwampBats 7-3 and 2-1 in a pair of seven inning games. 

Keene State College has welcomed back a familiar face to lead its softball team. Haley Chandler, a KSC alumna from the class of 2013, has been named the new head coach of the college’s softball program, according to a news release.

The SwampBats rode a spectacular start from Nick Timpanelli and beat the North Adams SteepleCats 7-3 on Bikers and Baseball Night Saturday.
