Keene State College has welcomed back a familiar face to lead its softball team. Haley Chandler, a KSC alumna from the class of 2013, has been named the new head coach of the college’s softball program, according to a news release.

The SwampBats rode a spectacular start from Nick Timpanelli and beat the North Adams SteepleCats 7-3 on Bikers and Baseball Night Saturday.

(MyKeeneNow) Jake Koonin hit two home runs, but the SwampBats fell to the Upper Valley Nighthawks 8-6 on Friday night. 

The Keene SwampBats scored seven runs after the sixth inning and beat the defending champion Newport Gulls 9-3 on Thursday night. 

The Ocean State Waves came back from 4-0 down to beat the Keene SwampBats 6-5 on Tuesday night in Rhode Island.

The Vermont Mountaineers held the SwampBats to three hits and won 6-3 on Monday. 

The Keene SwampBats left 20 runners on base, but scored three times late in a 5-2 win at the Danbury Westerners on Saturday. 

The Little East Conference (LEC) recently recognized three outstanding graduates as the 2023-24 Student-Athletes of the Year. Keene State College’s Jeff Hunter and Haile Ratajack, along with University of Massachusetts Dartmouth’s Cameron Rodgers, received this prestigious honor.

The SwampBats allowed four runs in the ninth inning, but three home runs paved the way for a 9-6 win over the North Adams SteepleCats on Wednesday night at home.
