KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) – The Keene Police Department has concluded its investigation into a serious crash that occurred on July 7, 2025, at the Winchester Street roundabout, resulting in serious injuries to a local motorcyclist.

According to police, the crash happened shortly before 10 a.m. and involved a 2020 Mercedes E-Class sedan driven by 40-year-old Crystal Doolan of Plymouth, Massachusetts, and a 2024 Kawasaki motorcycle operated by 23-year-old Teagan Cairns of Keene.

Following a months-long investigation by the department’s Collision Analysis Team, police determined that Doolan performed a prohibited U-turn on Route 101 just east of the roundabout. The illegal maneuver caused the Mercedes to collide with the eastbound motorcycle.

Cairns was transported to Cheshire Medical Center and later airlifted for advanced treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. Doolan was also taken to the hospital for medical care, while a male passenger in her vehicle was not injured.

On Wednesday, November 5, Keene Police announced that Doolan has been arrested and charged with vehicular assault, a Class A misdemeanor. She was released on personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear in the 8th Circuit Court–Keene on December 8, 2025.

The department said the case marks the conclusion of its investigation into the July collision.
