KEENE, NH – Four people were arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into the sale of crack cocaine in the Keene area.

Police responded to 74 Sullivan Street in Keene with a search warrant Wednesday and according to a news release from the Keene Police Department, as officers arrived several people fled into the residence and refused to comply with orders to come outside.

Crisis negotiators spent several hours attempting to contact the people inside, both by phone and via mobile loudspeaker. Eventually, all occupants exited the residence without incident and four were taken into custody.

Kyle Kelly, 34, of Keene, was arrested on a capias warrant and a non-appearance warrant issued by the Hillsborough County Superior Court. Jonathan Chirichiello, 47, also of Keene, was arrested on a warrant for violation of probation, and Eriziah Walker, 25, and Tyler Hill, 22, both of Springfield Massachusetts were charged with resisting arrest/detention. Other individuals detained as the scene were released without any charges.

The news release said that the response was related to the sale of drugs in the city, but no drug charges have been filed at this point. Additional arrests or charges from the investigation are anticipated.

The investigation is part of Operation Granite Shield, which is a state-funded initiative targeting illicit drug distribution in the state. A similar response and arrests were made in February as part of the program as well.
