WINCHESTER, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) Two people were flown to the hospital Saturday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash at a busy intersection along Route 10, according to local police.

The collision occurred at about 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Route 10 and Westport Village Road. Authorities said the crash involved two vehicles, though additional details about those involved were not immediately available.

Emergency crews responded to the scene, and two individuals were transported by medical helicopter to a hospital for treatment. Their conditions have not been released.

The crash caused significant traffic delays along Route 10, with backups stretching as far as Sawyers Crossing Road in neighboring Swanzey. Motorists in the area experienced prolonged delays as first responders worked to clear the scene and investigate.

Police said the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
