CHARLESTOWN, N.H. – (MyKeeneNow)– A fire in Charlestown Thursday has claimed the lives of two individuals, according to New Hampshire State Fire Marshal Sean P. Toomey, Fire Chief Mark LaFlam, and Charlestown Police Chief Patrick Connors.

Emergency services received a 9-1-1 call just before 7 a.m. reporting smoke emanating from a mobile home at 1B Crown Point Drive. Upon arrival, Charlestown firefighters discovered an adult male deceased inside the home. After the fire was extinguished, a second victim, an adult female, was found. There were no other reported injuries.

The identities of the victims and the cause of death will be determined following an autopsy at the New Hampshire State Medical Examiner’s Office in Concord today.

An investigation into the origin and cause of the fire is currently underway, conducted by the New Hampshire State Fire Marshal’s Office in collaboration with the Charlestown Fire and Police Departments.
