KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) – Keene’s long awaited dog park is set to open next week.
Deputy City Manager Andy Bohannon announced Friday that the dog park at the old campground area at Wheelock Park will open on Thursday, June 20th with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 4:00 pm.
The event is meant to celebrate the community fundraising effort that made the park possible, along with an additional donation from the Timken Foundation.
After Thursday, the park will be open to the public every day from sunrise to sunset.
The park features one and a quarter acre for larger dogs and a third of an acre for smaller dogs, under 30 lbs, to play.
