PETERBOROUGH, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) State investigators are examining the circumstances surrounding a deadly incident at a Peterborough residence that left one man dead and another hospitalized Sunday evening.

According to the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office, officers were called to a reported disturbance at a home on Grove Street at about 8:30 p.m. When police arrived, they found an adult man dead in the driveway. Investigators said he appeared to have suffered gunshot wounds.

A second adult man, who lives at the residence, was found with what appeared to be multiple stab wounds. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. His condition has not been released.

The investigation is being led by the Attorney General’s Office and the New Hampshire State Police Major Crime Unit. Authorities said the evidence gathered so far indicates the incident involved an interaction between the two men.

Officials said there is no known danger to the public.

The identity of the man who died, as well as the manner and cause of death, have not yet been released pending further investigation and notification of family members.
