KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow)  Craft beverage enthusiasts will have the chance to sample dozens of beers, ciders, spirits and other drinks while supporting a local nonprofit during the 12th annual Wyman Tavern Brew Fest on Saturday.

Hosted by the Historical Society of Cheshire County, the event runs from 1 to 5 p.m. on the grounds of the historic Wyman Tavern Museum at 349 Main St. Organizers describe the festival as a laid-back backyard-style gathering featuring live music, local food vendors and craft beverage tastings from across New England.

More than two dozen breweries, cider makers, distilleries and other beverage producers are expected to participate, including Black Cloud Brewing, Branch and Blade Brewing, Henniker Brewing Company, Lawson’s Finest Liquids, Schilling Beer Co., Spyglass Brewing Company, Woodstock Inn Brewery and many others.

VIP ticket holders can enter at noon for an exclusive hour featuring early access to limited-release beverages, along with a commemorative pint glass and Brew Fest T-shirt. General admission begins at 1 p.m. Advance tickets are $45, or $50 at the gate if available. VIP admission is $75, and organizers say that option is expected to sell out.

Historical Society Director of Development Eric Weisenberger recently told WKBK Radio’s Open Mic program that tickets remain available and encouraged people to purchase them before the event.

Entertainment will be provided by The Gaslight Tinkers, whose blend of folk, reggae, funk and world music will headline the festival. CJ the DJ of Fitzwilliam will provide music between sets throughout the afternoon.

Food will be available from several local vendors, including Voodoo Box Food Truck, Banh Mi OK, Birdies, Branch and Blade Brewing with Saxy Chef, and the Historical Society in partnership with the Greater Keene Rotaract Club.

The Brew Fest serves as one of the Historical Society of Cheshire County’s largest annual fundraisers. Proceeds support the organization’s exhibits, educational programming and preservation of the Wyman Tavern, which was built in 1762.

Tickets are available at hsccnh.org, through Eventbrite, or at the society’s office at 246 Main St. Organizers encourage purchasing tickets in advance, noting the event has sold out in previous years.
