KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) The City of Keene is asking residents and Robin Hood Park users to weigh in on proposed Phase II improvements through a new online community survey.

The Parks & Recreation Department posted the survey Monday as the city continues planning improvements to the park’s recreation areas, amenities and access. Feedback will help inform the design process and support federal funding documentation.

The survey asks residents how they use Robin Hood Park and how often they visit before seeking input on several proposed improvements.

Among the questions are what features people would like to see in a new playground, with options including slides, swings, climbing structures, accessible play routes, natural features and shade. The survey also asks for input on activities for a proposed multi-sport court and agility station, including basketball, volleyball, ice skating and flexible recreation space.

Residents can also weigh in on the proposed program building and public restrooms, including potential uses such as youth programs, community events, recreation classes and family activities.

Other questions address parking and circulation, including additional accessible parking and drop-off areas, pedestrian connections and the proposed direction of one-way traffic on Robin Hood Lane. The survey also seeks feedback on an accessible fishing dock, amphitheater improvements and ways to highlight the park’s history and natural environment.

The survey follows a Sept. 15 public feedback session hosted by the Parks & Recreation Department, Robin Hood Park Steering Committee and CHA Solutions.

Phase II plans currently include a new playground, additional parking, multi-sport court, program building, pavilion improvements, accessible fishing dock and nature play trail. Phase I, focused on improvements to the park pool, is currently out to bid.
