KEENE, NH – Officials in the City of Keene are set to host the first in a series of public design review workshops for the Downtown Infrastructure Improvement and Reconstruction project.
The first workshop is set for Wednesday March 6th at the Keene Recreation Center on Washington Street. They’ll host two of the same sessions to get more community involvement. The first is set from 3-4:30, the second from 5:30-7 pm.
Each workshop will have a different focus area. This first one will zero in on Main Street and general streetscape features, such as trees, lighting, furniture, and bike lane separation. Each workshop will also be followed up with a Municipal Services, Facilities, and Infrastructure Committee meeting the following week to discuss the feedback. The first MSFI meeting will be held on March 13th in council chambers. It’ll also be livestreamed on the city’s YouTube channel and on Spectrum Local Access channel 1302.
The next workshop is scheduled for April 3rd, focusing on Gilbo Avenue and Railroad Square, and the third is set for May 1st with a focus on Central Square. All workshops will be held at the rec center in the same timeframes.
