MONADNOCK REGION, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) The New Hampshire State Council on the Arts has announced it is now accepting applications for its Fiscal Year 2026 grants. Nine grant categories are available to support projects across the state, with deadlines ranging from April to June 2025.
The council, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, provides funding for a wide range of initiatives, including arts education, healthcare projects, community engagement, and the preservation of traditional art forms, according to a news release.
“In 2025, the Arts Council is celebrating 60 years of supporting the arts in New Hampshire, including through our grant programs,” said Adele Sicilia, director of the N.H. State Council on the Arts, in the release.
“Of course, grant funding helps support the types of programming that you’d expect, like performances and art in public places. But it’s our ability to support less high-profile initiatives – including bringing arts into healthcare settings, providing qualified artists to lead special projects in schools and working to ensure traditional art forms pass on to the next generation – that deliver the arts to people who otherwise might not have had the opportunity to benefit from them.”
Applications are now open for programs such as Youth Arts Projects, Artist in Residence grants, and Arts in Health Project grants. Additional programs, including Traditional Arts Apprenticeship grants and Folklife and Traditional Arts Project grants, are available to preserve New Hampshire’s cultural heritage.
Artists can also apply for quarterly Artist Entrepreneurial grants, with the first deadline set for April 4, 2025. Qualified artists are encouraged to join the council’s juried rosters, which connect organizations and schools with professional artists.
Funding for these grants comes from state and federal sources, including the National Endowment for the Arts. Projects must begin after July 1, 2025, and be completed within a year.
