KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) – The City of Keene is advising motorists to expect nighttime construction and traffic changes on Court Street this week.

The city’s contractor, All States Construction, began milling Court Street Sunday, September 27, at 9 p.m. The work is taking place between Winter Street and the New Hampshire Route 9 overpass as crews prepare the roadway for paving.

During construction, the affected section of Court Street will be restricted to alternating one-way traffic. Street parking will also be prohibited within the work zone during construction hours.

Work is expected to continue throughout the week, with normal traffic conditions restored by 7 a.m. at the end of each night’s work.

The city is reminding motorists, pedestrians and cyclists to use caution when traveling through the construction area, follow posted signs and traffic control devices, and allow for possible minor delays.

Keene Public Works is asking the public to slow down and remain alert to help protect construction crews and others traveling through the area.
