KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) Authorities have released new details in connection with a fatal pedestrian crash that shut down part of Route 12 in Keene Thursday night.
According to an update from police, the pedestrian has been identified as 34-year-old Greta Wold of Lisbon. The driver involved in the collision was identified as 22-year-old Cameron Stephenson of Marlborough, who was operating a 2002 Kenworth tractor-trailer hauling a load of logs.
Preliminary findings indicate Wold was in the travel lane of Route 12 when she was struck by the northbound truck. Investigators say the circumstances leading up to why she was in the roadway remain under review.
As previously reported, emergency crews responded to the area just north of Maple Avenue around 8:30 p.m. on April 23. Wold was pronounced dead at the scene.
Route 12 was closed between Maple Avenue and Wyman Road for about four hours as officials conducted their investigation and cleared the roadway.
The incident remains under investigation by the Keene Police Department’s Collision Analysis Team. Anyone who may have seen a pedestrian along Route 12 near Maple Avenue before 8:30 p.m., or who has information that could assist investigators, is asked to contact Det./Lt.
