EENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) Drivers in Keene should expect a temporary road closure Wednesday as crews complete repair work near the city’s skate park.

Beginning at 6 a.m. , Public Works crews will be working on the roadway and a nearby park area at 160 Water St. During that time, Water Street will be closed between Grove and Carpenter streets, and a detour will be clearly marked.

Keene City Engineer Bryan Ruoff said the repairs being done are related to the recent water main break at that location. “It will be a full restoration,” he said. “New gravel will be laid, the road will be paved and concrete will be poured for the new sidewalk there.”

Officials say the closure is expected to last throughout the day, with normal traffic patterns resuming once work is finished.
