BRATTLEBORO, VT (MyKeeneNow) Police have cited a 22-year-old Brattleboro man in connection with a pair of false emergency reports that disrupted a fast-food restaurant earlier this year.

Investigators say two threatening calls were made on March 28, one claiming there was a bomb at the McDonald’s on Putney Road and another, placed about 35 minutes later, reporting a hostage situation at the same location. Both reports were determined to be hoaxes, according to a news release.

Following an investigation, police cited Kyle J. Rice on Friday on a charge of making false alarms to public safety agencies.
