JAFFREY, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) Police have arrested three men in connection with a December drive-by shooting that sent bullets into an occupied apartment building on Cross Street, an incident that authorities say could have had deadly consequences.

The shooting occurred just after 5:50 p.m. on Dec. 17, 2025, when Jaffrey Police responded to multiple reports of gunfire near the intersection of Cross Street and Nutting Road. Officers determined that several shots were fired from a moving vehicle as it passed 3 Cross Street, a multi-family residence.

Several rounds struck the building, with some penetrating into one of the apartments. No injuries were reported.

Following more than a month of investigation, Jaffrey Police announced that all suspects involved in the incident have been identified and taken into custody. Arrest and search warrants were issued, and each suspect was arrested separately without incident.

Police identified the suspects as Shayne Jennings, 38, of New Ipswich; John Pereira, 21, of Exeter; and Nathan Pereira, 19, of Rindge. All three are facing charges of attempted murder and conspiracy and are currently being held at the Cheshire County House of Corrections.

At the time of the shooting, Cross Street was closed for approximately two hours while officers checked on residents, gathered evidence, and canvassed the neighborhood for witnesses.

Jaffrey Police credited “outstanding investigative work” for leading to the identification of the suspect vehicle and those involved. The department also thanked the New Ipswich Police Department, Exeter Police Department, and New Hampshire State Police for their assistance in the arrests.

The investigation remains ongoing.
