KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) A new online guide highlighting events, history, and community updates connected to the Monadnock Region’s celebration of America’s 250th anniversary is now available for free through My Keene Now.
The Monadnock 250 Guide serves as a central hub for coverage leading up to Keene’s major July 4, 2026 celebration, which organizers say will feature a downtown parade, live entertainment, historical programs, family activities, food vendors, and participation from communities across the region.
According to the guide’s introduction, planning is already underway for what is expected to be a large-scale regional tribute marking the nation’s semi-quincentennial. Organizers are encouraging participation from local groups, performers, businesses, and towns throughout the Monadnock Region.
The guide, which can be found in the Features section of the website, will continue to be updated in the weeks leading up to the celebration. It includes event announcements, feature stories, historic photographs, and coverage focused on the people, places, and traditions that have shaped the region over the past 250 years.
Recent additions to the guide include stories previewing expanded July 4 festivities, historical photo collections from the Historical Society of Cheshire County, and updates on performances and family programming planned for downtown Keene.
The broader Monadnock 250 celebration is scheduled for Saturday, July 4, 2026, in downtown Keene. Event organizers say the parade will begin at 11 a.m. near Wyman Tavern, followed by a festival featuring music, dance, historical demonstrations, readings of the Declaration of Independence, shopping, and food vendors.
Readers can access the guide through the Features section at mykeenenow.com or by visiting My Keene Now’s Monadnock 250 Guide.
