KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) Drivers in Keene should expect temporary traffic changes and possible delays later this week as multiple utility-related construction projects are scheduled across the city on May 28 and 29.

According to the City of Keene, work will begin Thursday morning on Court Street near 34 Court St., where Frank Lucius Construction is scheduled to install a new water service connection. Construction is expected to start at 8 a.m., and alternating one-way traffic will be in place around the work zone for the duration of the project. Officials anticipate the work will be completed by the end of the day, with normal traffic patterns resuming afterward.

On Friday, CW Davis Construction is expected to repair a sewer service lateral near 41 Hillside Ave. The project is also slated to begin at 8 a.m. and will require alternating one-way traffic in the immediate area while crews work. City officials said the repairs are expected to take most of the day.

Also on Friday, a contractor will perform repairs to a domestic water service near 317 Winchester St., close to McDonald’s. Motorists traveling through the area may encounter shifted travel lanes while work is underway. The project is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. and is expected to be completed by the end of the day.

City officials are asking motorists, pedestrians, and nearby residents to use caution around active construction zones and plan extra travel time if necessary.

Questions about the projects can be directed to the City of Keene at 352-6550.
