(MyKeeneNow) – Several streets in Keene will face closures and traffic restrictions over the next few days as the city begins maintenance and construction work.

Wednesday, Sept. 11:

  • Roxbury Street: Starting at 7 a.m., contractors will repair and replace sidewalk panels between Central Square and Norway Avenue. The work is expected to cause some disruption to foot traffic and parking in the area.
  • Woodbury Street: Tree removal near 35 Woodbury St. will close the road between Ellis Court and Gilsum Street from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Elm Street: Sewer work near 515 Elm St. will begin at 8:30 a.m. Traffic in the area may be reduced to one lane during the day.

Thursday, Sept. 12:

  • Railroad Street: Roof repairs at 35 Railroad St., home to Carriage House Condos, will start at 7 a.m. and continue until Oct. 3. Sidewalks in the area will be closed and traffic patterns altered.
  • Chapman Road: Tree removal near 253 Chapman Road will limit traffic to one lane, alternating, between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes and follow traffic control measures in affected areas.
