KEENE, NH – Crowds will gather at Lindy’s Diner on Gilbo Avenue in Keene Tuesday afternoon for a live auction.

The owners announced a few weeks ago that they are retiring to spend more time with their grandkids and would be putting the successful diner up for auction.

The live auction will get underway at 2:00 Tuesday afternoon at Lindy’s. According to soauctions.com, the sale includes real estate and business assets, including booths, tables, refrigeration, dishes, silverware, cookware, menus, the trade name “Lindy’s Diner”, the domain & website www.lindysdiner.com, and the business phone number.

With ongoing successful revenue, the auction website calls the diner a once in a lifetime, turn-key opportunity. Within a six-day period in mid-October the diner made more than $23,000, and averages nearly $900,000 in gross revenue annually. Lindy’s was also voted best Breakfast, Diner, and Cheap Eats 2023 in Monadnock Broadcasting Group’s Keene’s Best awards.

Whoever wins the auction will need to be ready to put a $25,000 deposit down and follow other bidding requirements. The current owners have offered to provide transitional help to the buyer for two weeks after the sale closes.

Lindy’s has been in operation for over 60 years and has had four hours over those six decades. The diner currently employs about 6 people.
