KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) The City of Keene is kicking off a sewer rehabilitation initiative starting Thursday to update sewer infrastructure on several streets, according to a news release. Frank Lucius Construction will lead this project, upgrading the old sewer standpipes to standard-size sewer manholes at selected spots on the following streets:
Beaver Street, Douglas Street, Gurnsey Street, Kingsbury Street, Oak Street, Probate Street, South Lincoln Street and Valley Street.
This four-week project is expected to impact vehicle and pedestrian traffic near the work areas, including potential lane and sidewalk closures. City staff advice taking extra care around construction zones, as areas will be marked and traffic control will be in place to guide traffic safely through.
