KEENE, N.H. — Community members are invited to support Special Olympics New Hampshire during the annual Tip-A-Cop fundraiser at Applebee’s in Keene Thursday, June 4.

From 5 to 6 p.m., local law enforcement officers and Special Olympics athletes will greet guests, share their stories, and raise awareness about the organization’s programs, said Paige Gesick of the N.H. State Police. Diners will also have an opportunity to meet the local athlete featured on a life-sized poster displayed inside the restaurant and learn more about the impact of sports, inclusion, and community involvement.

Guests are encouraged to make an additional donation with their meal to help support Special Olympics athletes across New Hampshire. Donations can be made by credit card directly on a bill or through cash and check contributions.

Organizers say every donation helps provide opportunities for athletes to train, compete, build friendships, and succeed both on and off the field.

As an added attraction, Woody from Disney and Pixar’s “Toy Story” is expected to make a special appearance during the event.

The fundraiser will take place at the Keene Applebee’s and several other Applebee’s locations throughout New Hampshire.
