PETERBOROUGH, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) – A Peterborough woman was injured in a crash in town Wednesday.

According to a news release from Peterborough Police Chief Scott Guinard, first responders received a report of a collision involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian around 4:55 Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Wilton Road (Route 101) and Grove Street (Route 202).

Police found a 2004 Chevrolet 2500HD pickup truck in the center of the intersection with a female pedestrian unresponsive in the roadway exhibiting agonal breathing.

Reports from witnesses and a preliminary investigation determined that the driver of the truck, Colin Gatlin, 22, of Hillsborough, was traveling westbound on Wilton Road and had a green light, and was turning left onto Grove Street when he struck Nancy Salmon, 79, of Peterborough who was in the travel portion of the roadway at the time of the collision.

Salmon was transported to Elliot Hospital in Manchester for medical treatment. Guinard said that as of 9 p.m. Wednesday she was in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police did not say if Gatlin was injured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
