KEENE. N.H. (MyKeeneNow) – The National Weather Service has officially confirmed a tornado in Dublin during this past Sunday’s storms.

A Tornado Warning was issued across the Monadnock Region at 4:50 Sunday afternoon as a line of severe thunderstorms moved east through Keene.

On Monday a survey team confirmed a tornado touchdown in Dublin associated with that storm.

Peak wind speeds are estimated at 90 miles per hour. The path of the tornado is estimated at about 3.6 miles long and 40 yards wide, and it lasted for about four minutes.

The survey team located snapped and uprooted trees, shingle damage to one roof, and a truck that was briefly lifted and moved along the ground, but no major structural damage was found.

The Enhanced Fujita Scale classified the tornado as an EF1, which is weak.

Sunday’s tornado is the second in Dublin within the last year, after another touched down on July 27th, 2023.

Crews are continuing to survey damage across the Southern New Hampshire.
