PUTNEY, V.T. (MyKeeneNow) – A Keene, New Hampshire man wanted on drug and other charges in Vermont was arrested on Thursday.

According to a news release from Vermont State Police, William Bostwick, 42, of Keene had two active warrants for his arrest in Vermont for failing to appear in court on original charges that included grand larceny, two counts of providing false information to a police officer, multiple DUI’s, three counts of violation of probation, possession of 2.5 grams or more of cocaine, resisting arrest, transportation of drugs into a detention center, and possession of a depressant, stimulant, or narcotic.

The Keene Police Department informed authorities in Vermont about Bostwick’s whereabouts and the Vermont Drug Task Force located and arrested Bostwick around 8:15 Thursday night in Putney, Vermont.

Following his arrest police searched a hotel room that Bostwick had been staying in and found additional amounts of cocaine, resulting in additional charges of possession of cocaine, more than one ounce, and violating of court-ordered conditions of release.

Bostwick was held on a total of $65,000 bail, $15,000 of that from the outstanding arrest warrants and the remaining $50,000 on the new charges. He was scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division on Friday.
